Camping Sites
Sheltowee Camp only accepts cash and checks.
Rates are set according to season. Winter Rates November – March and Summer rates are April – October.
Bunkhouse
The bunkhouse sleeps 15 in bunk beds. It can also be split into 8-person and 7-person sides. Each side has its own kitchenette. No cookware or linens are provided.
Copper Cabin
Our Copper Cabin provides more privacy with its location and its separate king bedroom. It has a kitchen and private bathroom. It is fully stocked with linens and cookware. Pets are not permitted in the Copper Cabin.
RV Sites
Sheltowee Camp offers 3 pull thru rv sites, 5 back in sites and one site with an adjacent shelter. Amenities include running water, 30/50 amp, nearby dump station and easy access to the bathhouse.
Sheet Shack
Once located at the Baldrock fire tower, the historic sheet shack was moved to its current location by the forest service. It has been repurposed to sleep up to two people in a queen size bed. Bathroom accommodations are located in the nearby bathhouse.
Studio Cabins
Our four studio cabins are perfect for families. Conveniently located near the communal fire pits and grills, our studio cabins have private bathrooms and kitchenettes. They are fully stocked with linens and cookware. *There is one handicap-friendly cabin available.
Tent Camping
Sheltowee Camp RV sites are also available to rent for tent camping. We also 2 tents per site with a maximum of 6 people. Rental includes use of bathhouse.
The Red Cabin
The Red Cabin is perfect for families traveling with those families in an RV as it is conveniently located near the RV sites. It sleeps up to 2 with a queen size bed and has its own bathroom and kitchen. Linens and cookware are provided.
Additional On-Site Facilities
Sheltowee Camp is a wonderful, private place for family reunions , church gatherings, weddings or other events. We do rent the entire facility which includes all facilities or we can make a package that fits your needs. Please call to inquire about pricing of full or partial camp rentals.
Our Bath House has a total of 7 showers that include 2 mens, 3 womens and 2 handicap friendly. It also has sinks and private toilets. The laundry area includes coin operated washers and dryers. Men’s Amenities Women’s Amenities
Sheltowee Camp’s Mess Hall is the spot for families to gather for parties, weddings or for just an evening meal. It has a full kitchen, tables and chairs available for use. Our Mess Hall can be rented for your next event even if you are not an overnight guest at Sheltowee Camp.
Sheltowee Camp provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy time outdoors. Whether you want to lounge around camp , play a round of disc golf, hike a trail or take advantage of nearby beautiful Laurel Lake, Sheltowee Camp is the perfect place to call home during your stay in Daniel Boone National Forest.
Our Rec Room is a small, cozy area to unwind after a day of outdoor adventure. It has couches, TV, ping pong table and a card table.
