Sheltowee Camp
Sheltowee Camp is located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Once a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp, it then became part of the U.S. Forest Service. After years of public service, it has become a privately owned recreational camp for visitors to enjoy.

Wild Life
The forest surrounding the campground is full of predators such as fox, owl, and raptors. Snakes, frogs, turtles and salamanders remain camouflaged throughout the lake and forest areas. You may even catch a glimpse of some local bald eagles.
Canoeing
If you’re aiming for a fun day of paddling, this is the perfect destination—canoe, kayak, or paddleboard at your own leisure on this calm river-lake.
Lake
The lake provides excellent fishing for bass, rainbow trout, walleye, crappie, bluegill and catfish. Night fishing for trout is popular during the summer. Fishing licenses required..
Hiking
The Sheltowee Trace Trail is a 343-mile National Recreation Trail that was created in 1979. The trail offers scenic views of Laurel Lake with hiking and mountain biking opportunities.
